The Data Science and AI Song

0

Another year, another traditional Christmas song or carol turned into a fun technology-related version! This is the sixth year and my ninth song. I hope you enjoy your 2019 holiday song, based on this famous tune.

The Data Science and AI Song

Computer vision processing on an open stack
The IT folks talking to you about clouds
Recommendation engines and chatbots being asked for by executives
And all sorts of vendors dressed up like data science platforms

Everybody knows a tukey test and some
Deep learning model is needed to grow
Business leaders may roll their eyes
But find it hard to sleep at night without good predictions and forecasts

They know that data science is the way to go
All the journals and thought leaders say it's so
But will the executives
With all the funding
Truly support a more data-driven approach?
Will algorithms truly help the business learn how to fly?

And so, I’m offering this
Simple phrase to leaders from whatever generation you may be
Gen-Z through Boomers
Although it’s been said many times, many ways:
Businesses need to embrace data science and AI in order to thrive ....

Happy holidays, everyone!
